
Eli has been a mathematics educator for over a decade. In this role, Eli served as a lead teacher and curriculum coordinator for traditional and AP courses. His experience includes working for International Baccalaureate (IB) and public schools. He has also served as an AP Calculus instructor, and is an expert on public school curricula, the Common Core, teaching English Learners (EL), students with special needs and test preparation. Eli holds a B.A in mathematics, a K-12 teaching credential (with EL authorization) and has completed his MA coursework in Educational Technology at California State University, Stanislaus. He is a recipient of the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program award and has served as a long-standing member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
As a teacher, Eli strives for excellence in education and is compassionate and caring about his students. Eli has received several awards from various programs, teachers, parents, and students recognizing his contributions and student-centered approach. His most important prize in education is his students’ positive feedback on his teaching.

Dr. Marina A., Co-Founder
Marina currently serves as an administrator at a local college. As part of her responsibilities, Marina provides leadership to the library, learning assistance program, and online education. Since 2014, she has served as project director for the Common Assessment Initiative grant a statewide grant serving all of the state’s 113 colleges.
Previously, Marina was a full time-faculty member at San Jose State University, in the teacher education department. At SJSU, she taught credential courses that focused on the integration of reading and writing into all subject areas; she also advised, supervised, and evaluated new teachers, directed a reading institute for content area teachers, and advised master’s degree students on their research and thesis writing.
Marina holds three degrees from the University of California, Berkeley: Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, Master of Arts in Education, and Ph.D. in Education.
In her role as co-founder for Tutorbees, Marina will ensure high-quality services to learners of all levels and interests by providing strategic planning and oversight.
